Bringing Period Drama Romance to a Savannah Bride at the Printmaker’s Inn

Wedding and event planning firm, Port Town Collective (PTC) and Esther Griffin Photography teamed up with The Printmaker’s Inn, and an A-list roster of vendors to create this opulent wedding that hearkens back to the Gilded Age.

Across the weekend, there was a blush pink bridesmaids luncheon, an impromptu boys' night complete with Papi O’Daniel, Cuban cigars, and a touching speech from the groom’s father. The day of the wedding was perfect. The wedding party stayed on-site at The Printmaker’s Inn. The ceremony took place in their garden, and after, guests enjoyed festive libations while being serenaded by an acoustic singer and guitarist.

It could not have been more perfect!

Using the couple’s first date as inspiration, PTC designed the event as a nod to the super nostalgic period dramas of the 1990’s. Howard’s End, Remains of the day, Age of Innocence, and Out of Africa among their favorites.

Authenticity was a big thought across the scope as well. Authenticity for the period in which the venue was built, authenticity for the native flora of the area, and an authentic great time!

It was very important to the couple that their family member who had passed be memorialized in a unique way. We chose to incorporate the bride’s grandmother’s birth flower in her bouquet, to have the groom’s great-grandmother’s portrait at their cake table, and to include some time with their photographer at their family portraits.

“We wanted this to look and feel right for the couple. We think through all aspects and micro minutiae of how to make your day both unusually elegant and effortless.”- said Josh White, CEO and Chief Curator of Port Town Collective.

“The visionaries and planners at PTC, always bring their unique and comprehensive visions to life in unexpected, delightful ways. They truly outdid themselves. Thank goodness for the photos because I have no words!” -said Esther Griffin of Esther Griffin Photography
